The state government restrictions to the Greater Sydney region will change on Friday 29/1/21 removing the mandatory rewuirement for face masks in indoor locations. However we would still recomend that participants wear face masks for pre-session briefings in indoor locations. Please also check with your local pool reqarding their requirements.

We’re wishing you a Happy New Year and are thrilled to commence Can Too training sessions in 2021.

To ensure the safety of our Can Too community and to comply with the current restrictions the following updates to our training sessions have been implemented.

Face masks

While wearing a face mask is not a requirement for group training, we request that all Can Too participants wear a face mask during the pre-session briefing, if the session is indoors.

To confirm this applies to the briefings that take place at the beginning of training sessions where the Team Captain, Mentor, Coach or relevant person provides a briefing to the training group, in an indoor setting. This is an update to Can Too’s health and safety policy, which is a higher regulation that the NSW government enforces.

Under the public health order, a "fitted face covering" means a mask or other covering that

  • fits securely around the face, and
  • is designed or made to be worn over the nose and mouth to provide the wearer with protection against infection.

For more information about the NSW Government rules on face masks please visit: https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/what-you-can-and-cant-do-under-rules/greater-sydney

Change to training at Mona Vale Beach

Due to current restrictions at the time of writing, that apply to the northern area of the Northern Beaches, training at Mona Vale Beach this weekend will not go ahead.

Instead of cancelling the training session, there is an alternate training option at the Terrey Hills Swim School, at: 31 Myoora Road Terrey Hills, NSW 2084.

The two-hour session is split into two groups that would have trained at Mona Vale Beach.

Saturday 9 January 2021

8:30am - 9:30am
Terrey Hills and West Pymble

9:30am - 10:30am
Hornsby and Warringah Aquatic Centre

For more information about your pod’s training sessions please refer to your latest Can Talk emails and for more information about how to keep COVID safe please refer to our health and safety policy.

We will continue to inform our participants of updates via Can Talk as further State Government announcements potentially impact our training sessions.
