About this program

This is a 20 week program based in Sydney training for the London Marathon 2020. Those training for other marathons around the same time are encouraged to also train in this program.

What does registration include?

Registration fee helps cover some of the costs of your 20 week group training program, like employing a coach.

Does it include race entry?

To secure race entry you will need to purchase a package with travel partner Keith Prowse Travel. Please contact us for availability.

Does it include my travel costs?

When you fundraise for the Can Too Foundation, funds raised are invested in cancer research and prevention. You can not fundraise for any personal expenses like race entry or travel packages.

Training format

You'll train twice per week under the guidance of a qualified, experienced marathon coach.

Wednesday interval sessions focus on:

  • Learn how to run more efficiently
  • Learn proper breathing techniques
  • Improve core strength
  • Learn about injury prevention
  • Hear from guest speakers

Saturday distance runs focus on:

  • Build endurance
  • Improve mental focus
  • Work on pacing and race strategy
  • Focus on running form.

Due to the holiday break, there will be no coached training sessions from 23 Dec 2019 – 5 Jan 2020 (inclusive).
