Communications Volunteer position

   

The Can Too Foundation is looking for a Communications/Marketing/Journalism tertiary student or graduate or someone with equivalent experience to volunteer one day a week. The role includes occasional photo and video shoots on weekends or evenings, to assist in producing online and video content.

Flexible work arrangements can be made around a student’s study and leave requirements. Please note the Foundation is a COVID safe business with processes and procedures in place to protect all staff, volunteers and community members.

The content produced will promote the work of the Can Too Foundation and community to support cancer research and prevention as well as health and fitness promotion.

The tasks to be performed include taking photos, filming and editing short videos including adding graphic elements, subtitles, captions and music. Uploading videos to our social media channels and website as well as documenting content details into a spreadsheet and as part of the content approval process and occasional administration duties.

Successful candidates will demonstrate good communication skills and teamwork, be able to work collaboratively and autonomously, be able to follow direction, to show dedication to completing tasks and meeting commitments. We strongly encourage interns to share their own ideas and visions for video and communication projects.

Video software requirements are: Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro and or imovie.

You will be supported by a Communications Specialist.
