NSW Walking Tracks

20 Dec 2017

Summer is the perfect time to get outdoors, get fit and embrace the sun and what better way than to do it for a good cause that supports cancer research ?

Our training programs are offered on either side of the Bridge in some stunning locations! We've put together a list of walking tracks that we think might motivate you - whether you're already registered with Can Too or still considering which program is right for you.

We have something for everyone! If you prefer the flat suburbs or bustle of the city over the tranquil, rocky terrain of Australian bush, we have a list of places we think you should try this weekend.

The Suburban Family

If the most nature you encounter every week is your backyard or taking your dog to the local park – these historic walks are perfect for a gradual change from suburbia to nature.

  • Cremorne Point Walk
  • Rose Bay to Watsons Bay
  • Federation Cliff Walk
  • Cockatoo Island

The Metropolitan

Now, if the most nature you see on a daily basis are fake plants climbing up skyscraper walls in the bustling city, we think these city-coastal walks may change your mind.

  • Watsons Bay
  • Anzac Bridge to Pyrmont Bridge
  • Bradley’s Head to Chowder Bay Walk
  • Manly to Spit Bridge Walk

The Seasiders

If you’re a little more experienced with nature and prefer a coastal setting, we think that the following list will give you the inspiration and motivation you’re looking for.

  • The Bondi to Coogee Walk
  • Barrenjoey Lighthouse
  • Chinamans Beach to Balmoral Beach
  • Otford Coastal Track

The Nature Newbie

Finally, you enjoy nature’s beauty but you’re worried you may not be physically ready for a bush trail run. Or perhaps training is coming to an end as the event day approaches and you’re in need of some motivation.

  • National Parks, such as the North Head Trail
  • Grand Canyon or Katoomba Falls (Blue Mountains)
  • Two Creeks Track, St Ives
  • The Narrabeen Lagoon Trail
