I'm training with Can Too for the 1km Ocean Swim!

Last formal beach sesson before the 1 K swim on 31st Jan. Conditons have been pretty bouncey over the last cople of weeks and whether i have acclimatised or the Travelcalm pills are working I haven't had an attack of the dreaded sea sickness ! Yup panicked, incompetent AND seasick what better way to spend Saturday morning ???

it has been quite a blast over the last 10 weeks with my CanToo training pod. Have reached a few goals along that time. Have dropped 20 kgs in weight, have swum out into the ocean beyond the breaking surf and felt if not "comfortable" than at least "adequate" to getting myself out and back undr my own steam.

I believe that I have gone from totally crap swimmer to being able to complete the course next week and I have found it so enjoyable that I am going to continue this thing. I want to continue to be a part of the Can Too community as well.

Raising the funds through the generosity of friends and family and running a little raffle means that somewhere, somehow my contibution will make a difference to someones life. Cancer effects not only the person suffering but all the friends and family of that person and the more we understand it, the more we can do to ease suffering and prevent occurence. This is where the funds go to.

Not only that but they are a bloody nice bunch of people.
