Cancer Seriously Sucks
Even though the stats indicate - 1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, I never thought it would happen to me.
But 3 years ago, it did. I was diagnosed with Breast cancer and put on the none stop treatment Express Train, tests, scans, biopsies, surgery x2, chemotherapy, chemo related hospital admissions x2, radiotherapy, countless needles, medication and Doctor visits. The Cancer Express Train Journey was for 8 months and when the train stopped I was fatigued, bewildered and anxious about what had just gone on. It took me a further year to return to my normal life.
I'm on the slow train now as the scans, Dr visits, needles and medication continue to this day.
I am without a doubt one of the lucky ones. There are, and will be many of your friends and family whose express train journey will be ongoing, and some who heartbreakingly won't make it through.
So, I hear you ask, “what can I do to help?”
Please sponsor me in completing the Big swim Palm beach to Whale Beach. The distance swum can range from 2.5km to 3.1km depending on conditions and how straight I swim.
Your valuable sponsorship will go to help care for those suffering from cancer and also into the prevention of cancer through all important research.
Donation are SO important and one the main way we are able to fight this battle against cancer. Lets try to stop the Cancer Express Train !
Thank you so much for your support
Love
