How you Can Too keep Covid safe – suspension of Can Too's training programs

18 Jul 2021

NSW Restrictions

The recent COVID-19 restrictions imposed by the NSW Government have been widely reported and are changing regularly. Keep up to date at https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/rules

Accordingly, at this time, Can Too has suspended all training sessions in all pods in NSW, but with the goal posts moving frequently, we want to give some certainty to our runners who have been impacted by the restrictions.

Our most important priority is the health and safety of our participants and the wider community. We are conscious of the chance of injury to runners who train over increasingly long distances without coach supervision and group support so we have decided to pause the progression in our current Sydney programs until it is practical to train together again. During the pause, we will continue to train but at a consistent level. We will also provide pre-recorded strength and cardio sessions that you can do safely in your own homes and your coaches will keep in touch to provide specialist advice and support where needed.

Once we can train as a group again we’ll restart the program where it left off. If you have any questions, please talk to your coach and team leaders.

Most importantly, please remember to reach out to Can Too or your fellow Can Tooers if you need support during this time. We are one community of people dedicated to improving our health and supporting cancer research.
