Week 7 31JUL - Harbour hangs

A little iso scare didn't stop this week's effort! This week the starting point was the Botanical Gardens, winding around the harbour foreshore and back.

Week 6 24JUL - Christmas in July!

There was a special festive theme this week to keep Lockdown from getting boring! The run started at Glebe foreshore and wound through the wharves of Pyrmont and Barangaroo before finishing with the stairs and hills of the Pyrmont Bridge. Somehow there were still smiles at the end.

Week 6 of 14 done!

Week 5 18JUL - Sunny Sydney harbour foreshore adventures!

A change of scenery for the trio this week - the stunning Sydney Harbour foreshore! The route was from Barangaroo to the Opera House, with recognition from fellow CanTooers en route. Grateful to have this within 10km.

Week 5 of 14 - done!

Week 4 11 JUL - rainy lockdown runs

It’s hard to believe Chloe is up to Week 4 on this half marathon journey!

Stay-at-home orders once again meant the larger group run was cancelled however lucky her household contacts are in this too. Today was Chloe’s longest run in 10 years; 10km through patchy rain and chasing rainbows along the Cooks River

Thanks to the virtual support of the CanToo community it was not only the longest run so far, but also more than 20 seconds faster per km despite the added distance.

Week 3 03JUL - Lockdown Bay Run (plus some)

Chloe was ready to join her East pod for the 8km run through Centennial Park however, once again, lockdown had other ideas. Luckily it was a stunning (but fresh) morning to complete one-and-a-bit laps of the iconic Sydney Bay Run, keeping consistent with speed despite adding more distance.

Week 2 26JUN - lockdown starts and 6km long run

Saturday is Chloe's long run day!
Alas, ol' lady rona had other ideas, and locked poor Chloe's Eastern @cantoorunswim pod away.
Lucky for Chloe, and those cancer rearsarchers relying on her funds, she has 2 household contacts to waddle along with.
Chloe still rose to 6km challange, and dodged the many doggos and their humans sneaking a breath of freedom is Sydney Park
That kind of commitment deserves your moola!

Week 1 19JUN - First group run of 4km

Chloe pulled on her orange for what seemed like a mear trott these days for this little athlete - a chatty 4km through Centennial Park with her brand new @cantoorunswim pals

I'm supporting cancer research and prevention with Can Too Foundation.

1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. This means that potentially someone we love may have to battle cancer, and that’s a statistic that needs to change.

So I asked myself, “what can I do to help?” That’s where the Can Too Foundation came in! Can Too provide professionally coached training programs for participants – of any fitness level – to run, swim and cycle their way to a healthier lifestyle and a cancer-free world.

In return, I am raising valuable funds that go towards innovation in the prevention, care, and control of cancer. Since 2005, Can Too Foundation have trained over 17,000 participants, raised over $24,000,000 to invest in 182 one-year cancer research grants.

It would be fantastic if you could sponsor me, or even better join me in a program!

Thank you for your support!
