I'm training for a 10km swim!
Thursday 15th May Soooo..... 14 years after not being able to swim a lap freestyle, I'm swimming 10km from Bondi Beach to Watsons Bay in the BIG SCARY OCEAN!Why am I doing it? I don't think there's anyone out there who hasn't been touched by cancer in some way and through this program I have met some amazing and inspiring people who are battling cancer. I'm doing it for them and others like them. I'm also doing it for my own health and to push myself to do things I didn't know I could do. Beginners and experienced athletes alike are given professional coaching as part of a team to run, swim or surfski in endurance events. In return, you raise valuable funds that go directly towards funding cancer researchers through Cure Cancer Australia.
