Fundraising Commitment

A fundraising commitment is the minimum you commit to raising for cancer research and prevention when you register for a Can Too training program or adventure challenge. When you reach this commitment, you will be recognised as a Fundraising Star.

In some programs, due to extraordinary circumstances, a lower minimum fundraising commitment has been set. In these programs you will meet your minimum fundraising commitment when you raise the Bronze level of fundraising. Participants are encouraged to achieve Silver or Gold levels of fundraising if their personal circumstances permit.

Can Too is a two-part experience – we help you get fit and healthy so that you can help cancer researchers find better ways to beat cancer.

How long do I have to fundraise?

add remove

You will receive a fundraising page as soon as you register for a training program or adventure challenge.

For training programs, you have until 30 days after your goal event to meet your fundraising commitment.

For adventure challenges, you have until 30 days after you return home from your adventure challenge to meet your fundraising commitment.

What if I don’t fundraise the minimum commitment by the due date?

We will continue working with you up to 90 days after your goal event or adventure challenge to help you achieve your fundraising goal.

We care about our people and understand circumstances change. If you find yourself in circumstances beyond your control, please contact us at info@cantoo.org.au.

What if I withdraw from my training program?

Please see our Withdrawals Policy.

What if I withdraw from my adventure challenge?

add remove

If you need to withdraw from an adventure challenge, you can ‘roll over’ your fundraising to any future Can Too training program or adventure challenge. You may like to start a Future Goal Event Fund so you can continue fundraising.

Please see our Withdrawals Policy.

What if the program is cancelled?

add remove

In March 2020, Can Too cancelled all current programs to reduce the chance of COVID-19 exposure to our participants and later to comply with Government restrictions. At that time Can Too advised all participants that they had no further obligation to fundraise.

If a program needs to be cancelled in the future, Can Too will communicate your fundraising obligation to you. If your circumstances permit, we encourage you to start a Future Goal Event Fund so you can continue fundraising after you reach your current commitment.
