My target 1 kms
Week 1I'm at the end of week 1 and have a second coached pool session tonight. I have had a few friends and colleagues suggest that they don't think I will be able to do it as 1km is a very long way (thanks Mr Allen ... but I am using it as motivation) and to be honest I would tend to agree with them at this stage. But, I am lucky enough to be able to give it a go and I am sure that people suffering with cancer would give anything to be healthy enough to be involved so I will use that as a motivator too. Second pool session tonight and again whilst the feeling is that I am frightened of it and not sure how I will get through it as I am still exhausted after only 50m essentially I am thinking "at least it isn't the beach session". I'll have to think of something new to get me through that on Saturday. I am not much of a blogger but as I have had some asks from potential sponsors to update regularly I will try to do it at least once a week!
Supporting Cancer Research with Can Too Foundation
I'm supporting cancer research and prevention with Can Too Foundation.
1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. This means that potentially someone we love may have to battle cancer, and that's a statistic that needs to change.

In return, I am raising valuable funds that go towards innovation in the prevention, care, and control of cancer. Since 2005, Can Too Foundation has trained over 18,000 participants and raised over $25,000,000 to invest in over 200 one-year cancer research grants.
