Even though we can’t meet face-to-face at the moment, we want to make sure that we are supporting our community and helping you reach your health and fitness goals. So we’ve developed a free virtual 4-week wholistic wellness program as a gift to you to nurture your mind, body and tastebuds!
We have kept it simple. No special gym equipment is needed. Do you have runners? Something that keeps time? Ready to run four kilometres? You will be in just four weeks!
Head Coach, Penny Nolton has designed this program to safely take you, no matter where you are in your fitness journey, to be ready to start training for even greater challenges. The best part? She says you’ll be smiling the whole time.
Not only will we get you running/walking in the fresh air three times a week (if you're able to, of course). The program comes bundled with cardio, strength and mindfulness training plus a whole host of nutrition tips and recipes.
All you need to do is to be consistent, and as a result, safe. You'll be running/walking three times a week, so make sure you're getting a day in between each of those sessions to rest. We encourage you to get out during the day, soak up some sunlight and enjoy the moment!

Coach Penny says that this program is ideal preparation for those looking to train for a Can Too 10 kilometre run program. In her words, it's vital "that people get kms in their legs and time on their feet before week one".
Through Facebook Virtual Head Coach Penny will be sharing videos including guest appearances from Can Too Coaches and Allied Health professionals.

You can use the Strava phone app on its own or with a GPS watch to record your workouts. Let's encourage each other to stay active. If you are using a GPS watch, Strava can record your static and indoor workouts and you can add pics/comments about your routines.

Mindfulness and meditation resources
Healthy workouts for our brain are just as important as our physical training. As part of our new virtual training program, we are advocating at least ten minutes of mindfulness practice every day.
If you are new to meditation, there are heaps of free and paid apps out there that you can use to get started, you can find some here. Please see our Volunteers and Leaders Coordinator, Claire Moulsher's video on how to try mindfulness for the first time below.
Each week, a healthy recipe like this Vegetable Frittata, see below, will be shared from our Can Too Foundation nutrition guide, to the Can Too Virtual FB group, plus healthy recipe planning resources are available in the program.
