For nearly two decades, Manly has been one of the iconic homes of CanToo’s ocean swim programs – a place where hundreds of incredible CanToo-ers have taken their first strokes in the surf, trained for epic swims, and built lifelong friendships.
Much of this magic has been made possible thanks to the generous support and dedication of Jon Bell, Mike Langley and the Bell Leisure team, who have coached, supported, and kept our swimmers safe for almost 20 years. Their commitment to CanToo has been extraordinary, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Jon, Mike and their crew for being such a valued part of our story.
This summer, Bell Leisure will be stepping back from delivering our Manly program – a decision we fully respect and support. Jon, Sam, Mike and the team have exciting new ventures on the horizon, and after years of giving so much to the CanToo community, they’ve earned a new chapter of their own. Please join us in celebrating and acknowledge all the work and commitment Jon, Mike, and Bell Leisure have given CanToo. They will always be a part of the CanToo family.
“After two decades partnering with CanToo on the Swim Program, we’re deeply proud and grateful for what we’ve built together. With the Bell Leisure coaching team and the CanToo community, we’ve trained thousands to take on ocean swims they once thought impossible, helping raise millions for cancer research through Cure Cancer and the Can Too Foundation. The real legacy is the people: we’ve shared in swimming milestones with all of you, and other life milestones; from engagements and weddings to the toughest farewells - reminders of the mission that binds us.”
“Having helped lay the program’s foundations and culture over 20 years, and with our business and personal priorities evolving, now is the right time for us to step back. We remain staunch supporters of CanToo and the Swim Program and are confident it will continue to thrive. Our sincere thanks to the CanToo team, our coaches, and every participant who took the plunge for a cause that matters.”
