Help me raise funds for CanToo!

Haven't done this since my Girl Scout days, but your gal is raising $995 AUD for early career cancer research with the legends at CanToo! I'll be training over the next 10 weeks to complete a 1km South Maroubra Ocean Swim - which is equal parts terrifying and exciting.

Growing up in a landlocked state with a massive fear of open water, learning how to properly swim in the ocean (while avoiding jelly fish, sharks, and a panic attack) is going to be a huge feat.

The unfortunate reality is that we all know someone who has been impacted by cancer and while early career researchers could have the answers with time, and funding, many don't have access to consistent capital.

Since 2005, CanToo has funded 150+ research grants across 40+ Australian research institutes. These grants cover more than a dozen cancer types, with projects spanning 1-4 years.

Would absolutely love it if y'all would help me reach both of these lofty goals! To kick it off, I've already donated $100 AUD which means we only have A$895 ($590 USD) to go.

I'm supporting cancer research and prevention with Can Too Foundation. 

1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. This means that potentially someone we love may have to battle cancer, and that's a statistic that needs to change. 

So I asked myself, "what can I do to help?" That's where the Can Too Foundation came in! Can Too provides professionally coached training programs for participants of any fitness level to run, swim and cycle their way to a healthier lifestyle and a cancer-free world. 

In return, I am raising valuable funds that go towards innovation in the prevention, care, and control of cancer. Since 2005, Can Too Foundation has trained over 18,000 participants and raised over $25,000,000 to invest in over 200 one-year cancer research grants.
