Hello!

Hi everyone! As most of you know, I moved to Sydney in January 2025 and quickly realised I should probably learn how to swim if I wanted to fully embrace the Aussie lifestyle. A new friend recommended I sign up to CanToo, and it’s been one of the best things I’ve done since moving here.

I completed a couple of triathlons at university, breaststroking my way through and exiting the water near enough last each time. This time, I’m setting myself a bigger challenge to swim 2km front crawl on Sunday 8th February at the North Bondi Ocean Swim.

Alongside this personal goal, I’m also fundraising $1200 for CanToo, an incredible charity and community here in Sydney. Roughly 1 in 2 of us will receive a cancer diagnosis in our lifetime, and that’s a statistic we urgently need to change. CanToo supports life-changing work, from health promotion and prevention, to funding innovative early-career cancer researchers who are helping find better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
