Swimming for Alan!
I'm supporting cancer research and prevention with Can Too Foundation.
1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. This means that potentially someone we love may have to battle cancer, and that's a statistic that needs to change.
Unfortunately my bestie's dad, Alan, is currently fighting against GBM (brain cancer). In April of this year his life was turned upside down by this horrible disease. He is fighting with everything he has and his bravery is something I admire so much.
As an avid cyclist and runner I know he would love nothing more than to be able to enjoy the beautiful outdoors so I am conquering my fears and trying to be brave like him! I am training to swim the 1km Bondi Classic in Feb!
I will also be thinking of those who fought so hard but who sadly lost their battles with cancer - Den, Safta, Darryl & Michael xxxxx
Please help me raise money for a cause that is so important so we can stop this horrible disease! No amount is too small!
