I'm supporting cancer research and the health of people in Australia
Roughly 1 in 2 of us will receive a cancer diagnosis in our lifetime. This is a statistic that we need to change.
So, I've decided to take on a personal challenge with the support of CanToo, to raise funds along the way that could be life-changing. From supporting the ongoing health promotion work CanToo provides, to funding incredible, innovative early-career cancer researchers.

The Starting Gun Is About To Fire...This Tortoise Is Off!
Monday 2nd Nov
I must pass this proficiency assessment to join the beach session on Saturday.
Logic tells me I can do this but fear tells me I can't. We shall see!
It's been a while since the last time I did CanToo (in fact it was in 2011 prior to my close encounter with breast cancer) and if we're using the tortoise and hare analogy I am the unofficial team captain of the tortoises!!!
In more positive news I'm getting close to the halfway mark of my fundraising target...thank you to the tortoise supporters amongst you.
I promise to share some fetching shots of me in my new and improved 2026 CanToo cossie if you jump onboard the fundraising bandwagon to help me get closer to my goal.
I shall be sure to update you on my attainment of the proficiency goal in next weeks instalment.
