I'm supporting cancer research and the health of people in Australia
Roughly 1 in 2 of us will receive a cancer diagnosis in our lifetime. Supporting several family members through their cancer battles has made this very real for me.
Inspired by their courage and humility, I've decided to take on a personal challenge with the support of CanToo, to raise funds along the way to enable innovative early-career cancer researchers.
Despite my love of swimming, I've had a lifelong fear of swimming in the ocean. I've committed to a 2Km ocean swim event in February. I'm petrified (see picture of me being coached out of my anxiety on our first swim).
This public declaration of my goal will ensure I stick with it! I'd also appreciate your support through even the smallest of donations to my fundraising page.
