2025 Summer Ocean Swim 2km

No sharks at Shark Island

You can tell it was a good swim when you manage to get a post event shot! Today's Shark Island swim was a huge improvement on last week, the seasickness meds must have kicked in. 

Conditions were better and, despite a blue bottle sting, I enjoyed the swim much more, completing 2.47kms in 54mins. 

Next stop, 3km at Bondi next week!

The first 2.68kms down!

It was a battle through the first of the three Cantoo ocean swims this weekend, with the Big Swim from Palm Beach to Whale Beach delivering choppy conditions past the headline.

It didn't help the motion sickness, which slowed my pace for a good 400m (c/f the little grey dots on the map), but I crossed the finish line of my first ocean swim event! We have a few good lessons to take into the next swims as the countdown to Rottnest begins.
