2026 Summer Ocean Swim

I'm supporting cancer research and the health of people in Australia

Roughly 1 in 2 of us will receive a cancer diagnosis in our lifetime. This is a statistic that we need to change.

So, I've decided to take on a personal challenge with the support of CanToo, to raise funds along the way that could be life-changing. From supporting the ongoing health promotion work CanToo provides, to funding incredible, innovative early-career cancer researchers.

We desperately need to find more solutions to cancer, from prevention, to treatment, and ultimately a cure. Please support me on my journey with CanToo by donating to my fundraising page today!

Thank you for your support!

My Updates

Aren’t you scared out in the ocean?

Tuesday 13th Jan
This is a question or comment friends and family regularly ask me about learning to ocean swim. The answer is yes- sometimes I get scared. Recently, I had a tough time getting out the back of the waves because the surf was huge and I was dumped several times. It wan not fun! 😝😱 and yes I was scared. The thing is that I pushed through and got out the back of the waves and caught my breath and completed the swim. I don’t know firsthand what fighting cancer looks or fella like but I imagine it’s scary, has its ups and downs and is relentless. Is swimming in the ocean hard? yes- it can be, but nothing like a battle with cancer and the ants where my mind goes when I’m scared. I remind myself that what I’m doing is contributing to a cancer free world. We need to keep funding research to find a cure for Cancer and so that’s why I allow myself to be scared, to face hard challenges and to reach personal goals.

Thank you to everyone who has made a donation towards my goal
