I'm supporting cancer research and the health of people in Australia
Cancer is something that has become deeply personal to me. Someone incredibly special and very close to me in my immediate family is currently living with stage 4 cancer. Watching someone you love go through this is heartbreaking, and at times, it can leave you feeling completely helpless.
I’m running this half marathon for him. It means more to me than I can put into words. When there’s so much that feels out of your control, this is one small way I can show up, take action, and do something meaningful.
Roughly 1 in 2 Australians will receive a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. It’s a confronting statistic, especially when cancer touches your own family so closely, and it’s one we desperately need to change.
That’s why I’ve decided to take on this personal challenge with the support of CanToo, raising funds that could genuinely make a difference. From supporting CanToo’s vital health promotion work to funding innovative early-career cancer researchers, this research matters, now more than ever.
This run is about turning helplessness into purpose, and hope into action.
If you’re able to support me on this journey, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring us closer to better treatments, and ultimately, a cure.
Thank you so much for your support.
