I'm supporting cancer research and the health of people in Australia

Roughly 1 in 2 of us will receive a cancer diagnosis in our lifetime. This is a statistic that we need to change.

So, I've decided to take on a personal challenge with the support of CanToo, to raise funds along the way that could be life-changing. From supporting the ongoing health promotion work CanToo provides, to funding incredible, innovative early-career cancer researchers.

We desperately need to find more solutions to cancer, from prevention, to treatment, and ultimately a cure. Please support me on my journey with CanToo by donating to my fundraising page today!

Thank you for your support!

My Updates

Feb 7th 2025 our lives changed forever

Saturday 27th Sep
~100 people in Australia get diagnosed with Acute ProMyelocitic Leukaemia, this year, my husband Paul was one of them.
It’s one of the most aggressive blood cancers, and he was 1 - 2 weeks away from death, had he not been diagnosed.
Luckily, while one of the most aggressive, it’s also currently the most treatable Leukaemia with ~90 % cure rate.  That cure takes its toll though.  He spent nearly 7 weeks in hospital and his treatment is still going until the end of October.  It’s a very long journey and will that will continue for at least 5 years of monitoring once he’s in “remission”
This isn’t my first CanToo program but its definitely the most meaningful as I’ve seen first hand how cancer research has saved his life.  15 years ago he would have died.
