Blackmores 10km Bridge Run 2019

Let the fun begin!

The journey with Can Too begins again in a few weeks with training for the 10km bridge run. This time I am hoping the Ravenswood Community will get behind me and help raise funds for research into a cure for Cancer. Over Term 3 we will be planning, baking and selling delicious cupcakes and rocky road to raise funds and engaging in some fun active Friday activities. Stay posted to see what we do.

What a team

Team A squared made it. On Sunday the 19 th May Aaron and I successfully completed the SMH half marathon relay. I did the first leg , 11.5km the longest distance I have ever attempted then Aaron with the greatest of ease completed the 9.5km under 55 mins. Together we managed an official time of 2:14:48 not bad for two non runners..

Now to prepare for Blackmores Bridge run.

Bunnings bake sale

After baking cupcakes and rocky road for our stall at Bunnings on Sunday I have used the funds to commit to the Blackmores 10 km Bridge run in September. This time I have more of what to expect and a time to achieve.

I'm supporting cancer research and prevention with Can Too Foundation.

1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. This means that potentially someone we love may have to battle cancer, and that’s a statistic that needs to change.

So I asked myself, “what can I do to help?” That’s where the Can Too Foundation came in! Can Too provide professionally coached training programs for participants – of any fitness level – to run, swim and cycle their way to a healthier lifestyle and a cancer-free world.

In return, I am raising valuable funds that go towards innovation in the prevention, care, and control of cancer. Since 2005, Can Too Foundation have trained over 15,000 participants, raised over $21,000,000 to invest in 168 one-year cancer research grants.

It would be fantastic if you could sponsor me, or even better join me in a program!

Thank you for your support!
