Putting CanToo on the (GPS) map
I've never done something more rewarding than coaching for CanToo.
Working with people to do things they haven't done before, making new friends, and raising money for cancer research.... it's the best.
As a person who never considered myself a 'runner' in the past, it's been a pleasure to get to share my passion for running with the people I coach.
But, something's been nagging at my mind lately... I have this feeling I can do more to help.
MY EVENT:
So I've decided it's my time to give more to CanToo, and to push myself past my current physical and mental 'limits'.
My goal is to raise awareness of the cause, get some donations, and urge people to sign up for a CanToo program.
In order to spread the CanToo message I've decided that this Sunday morning (24th July), starting at 6am, I will run further than I've ever run before. That means a minimum of 50km, I'll aim for 60km. It'll probably be 5-6 hours out there, if all goes well.
And I'll (literally) be doing it to make a statement... check the cover photo. That's my planned route for Sunday.
Let's just say I'm trying to put CanToo "on the map" (sincere apologies for this joke).
