Train for 10 weeks to run the 8.5km Trail Run at Mt Tamborine 2017. This is a true trail running experience with some challenging climbs, spectacular scenery and some downhills – a great bush escape and only a short drive from Brisbane.
Run for the fun of your life! This 10 week program provides all the professional coaching and support you need to achieve a goal you never thought possible, and fundraise for cancer research! Mid week sessions on the track will include a variety of three types of sessions; hills, track and stairs incorporating the below:

Occasionally a Guest Speaker will engage the group with professional advice on nutrition, injury prevention or goal setting. You will get to hear first hand from those who have experienced cancer and be encouraged to fundraise by researchers at the forefront of cancer research in Australia. Follow our specific day by day training guide which outlines what you should be doing every day to help you be your very best on race day – suggestions include yoga, spin classes and cross training.

What level of running experience do I need?
Anyone can join! The Can Too training program is professionally based and structured to ensure that people of all levels of fitness and experience – from novices to seasoned athletes – are well prepared to achieve their personal goal in their chosen endurance event. The coaches are motivational and the journey is addictive as members develop new friends, share experiences and have fun. The team environment is a vital component in helping you to feel motivated, inspired and supported.

What kind of gear do I need?
At the first training session you receive an official Can Too training singlet/top. You will need running shorts/pants/tights, a hat, good socks and a sturdy pair of running shoes. In the first few weeks of training you receive special discounts with running gear suppliers who support Can Too and we encourage you to purchase any gear you might need from them!
How much does it cost to join this program?
A $120 registration fee is required upon joining the program.
How much do I have to fundraise?
The Tour de Tamborine 8.5km Trail Run fundraising pledge is $1000. Don’t be nervous about achieving your fundraising goal! You'll be able to access ideas and support as soon as you register, not to mention have a dedicated fundraising mentor throughout the program. As Can Too is primarily a fundraising program, we will need to reach your fundraising pledge 31 days after the goal event. Read more on how to fundraise for cancer research
