About the Festival

The Divine Steps Festival looks to share and celebrate the essence of Guru Nanak Dev Ji by bringing together Sikhs and multi-faith groups in a spiritual festival honouring His life and Universal message.

The Australian community will be given the opportunity to explore the four unique journeys of discovery of Guru Nanak Dev Ji with four charity walks being held along the foreshores of Sydney Harbour.

The Divine Steps Festival will feature:

  • Divine Kirtan, along with Spiritual music and performances from Sikh and other faith traditions.
  • Langar (Free vegetarian food and drinks)
  • A showcase of the history of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and the Sikh Faith
  • Free health checks (courtesy of Culture Care)
  • Jumping castle and entertainment for the whole family
  • Fundraising for Selected Charities – Raffles, Silent Auction

Divine Steps Walkathon

Raise much needed funds for two awesome charities by signing up for our walkathon.

The 3.3 km walkathon will take you around the best of Sydney's stunning shoreline. Taking around 40 minutes to complete, the walk is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. There will be four departure times through the day at 10am, 11:30am, 1pm and 2:30pm, so you can pick the most convenient time for you.

We encourage all fundraisers to aim to raise at least $100 each for these two incredible charities and make a real difference in the community around you.

Divine Steps Charity Bike Ride

Raise much needed funds for two awesome charities by signing up for our charity bike ride.

The bike ride, spread over two days, begins in our nation's capital of Canberra and finishes in full flourish at the Divine Steps Festival in Pyrmont, Sydney. Riders will be fed and hosted at Austral Gurdwara, in the outskirts of Sydney overnight, before making their final approach into Sydney.

At around 300km in total, this charity bike ride is targeted for more serious cyclists in Canberra and Sydney.

Can Too Foundation is an independent health promotion charity committed to funding cancer research. In return for professionally coached training programs, our participants fundraise much-needed support for Australian cancer research to fund the most brilliant, innovative early career cancer researchers. At Can Too, we believe life is what you make of it, that anything is possible, and if you’re willing to take that first step, you CAN TOO!




Youth Off The Streets is a non-denominational community organisation working for young people aged 12 to 25 who are facing challenges of homelessness, drug dependency, disadvantage, exclusion from school, neglect and abuse. Youth Off The Streets are helping young people discover greatness within, by engaging, supporting and providing opportunities to encourage and facilitate positive life choices.
