Team Captains-Swim (SYD)
Can Too are pleased to have some brilliant Team Captains on board for the SWIM 2010 program
Fran Boase (East Wednesday)
I got a phenomenal amount out of participating with Can Too, and couldn’t wait to get more involved. Can Too introduced me to ocean swimming, and I’ve never looked back. The Can Too philosophy of keeping fit, helping people achieve goals they never thought possible and supporting a great cause was something that resonated with me from the moment I first got involved, and it’s an absolute thrill and honour to have become a team captain!
John Boes (South)
John is a team captain because he:
1. Enjoy its.
2. Wants people to share the CAN TOO experience the way he has.
3. Has been very fortunate in life and feels he has a responsibility to put something back.
Sam Chau (North West)
Following my first Can Too run program in 2008, I became addicted to the overwhelming sense of joy and empowerment that comes from following the words of Eleanor Roosevelt (as featured on each Can Too training booklet), "You must do the thing which you think you cannot do". Since then I have been motivated to seek out and conquer new challenges - the first being the completion of The 2008 Big Swim with Can Too, and now taking on the role as Team Captain of the North West Swim Pod. I see this as an opportunity to give back to an initiative that has given me a greater sense of confidence; an understanding of the joy and value of comradeship; a realisation of the power of creativity in fundraising pursuits and a reinforcement of the benefits that ensue from a healthy and active lifestyle. As team captain I sincerely hope that I can help others gain an equally memorable and empowering experience as we collectively contribute to the fight against cancer.
Susan King (Kingie - East Thursday)
Being a participant in the Can Swim program was a fantastic experience and I got bitten by the ocean swimming bug ( not a shark !! ). The Can Too experience is wonderful and so when I was asked to be a Team Captain for the East Pod I was very humbled as it allows me the opportunity to give something back to Can Too and pass onto participants my love for swimming and encourage them to have fun whilst doing a wonderful thing by assisting in “Contributing to the Cure “.

Cantoo brings together so many things I am passionate about. The opportunity to contribute to a cure for cancer, being fit, going beyond one's comfort zone, swimming, running and of course, the amazing sense of camaraderie. It is a privilege to captain the North Team and lead such an amazing bunch of people.
