Principal Supporter

The Macquarie Group Foundation

As one of the pioneers of corporate philanthropy in Australia, Macquarie has provided support to community programs for more than 25 years. The Macquarie Group Foundation was formally established in 1985 and in the year to 31 March 2012 contributed more than $17 million to thousands of community organisations worldwide.

The Foundation funds community needs in the areas of health, welfare, arts, education and the environment.

The Foundation actively supports Macquarie staff pursuing their own community interests through a range of policies and resources including staff donation and fundraising matching, payroll giving, volunteering opportunities, not-for-profit Board participation grants and volunteering awards. Established with a grant from the Macquarie Group Foundation in 2005, Can Too has become Cure Cancer Australia’s largest fundraising program.

The Macquarie Group Foundation is the Principal Supporter of Can Too.
