Emma Rilen (Run)
Since the age of three, when I joined little athletics, I knew I
wanted to run and have not looked back since. Throughout the years I
have Competed at state, national and also international level
representing Australia at 2 World Cross Country events (being a part of
the most successful Australian women's team) and international Road
Relays. I am also currently studying my Master of Chiropractic at
Macquarie University.
Being a runner I know the journey that is involved in reaching
your goals, and the feeling (that cannot be put into words) when you
get there. I have a great passion for running and encourage people to
get involved to experience it for themselves. As I have seen through my
mum, who had never competed in sport till I got her involved 4 years
ago in running, and this year completed her first marathon at the age
of 50.
I wanted to be a part of "Can Too", to help the group work
together and encourage each individual person to enable them reach
their own personal goal and raise money along the way for a very
deserving cause.
I have had people believe I would not succeed in running but that
just gives me motivation to want to achieve goals higher then what I
ever thought possible. I hope to work with the group to help show that
you all... "Can Too".
