"Becoming involved with Can Too has been amazing because not only do they make running accessible to everyone through an excellent graduated training program but additionally they are a not-for-profit organisation raising money for Cancer research"
Dan Watt has been a professional running coach since he was 20 years old - he is now 28. Before that, as a junior athlete, he competed at a state level in cross-country (best finish was 11th in U/21 1998) and 3000m on the track (best finish was 8th in U/21 1998). Dan has been the running coach at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre since 2001 and in that time has coached participants from very little running to a marathon. In 2003 Dan was struck by a drunk driver and following a month long coma he had to learn how to run again. The insight it gave him into correct and comfortable running form and the importance of core strength has made him enjoy his running more.
